Hello to all.

I hope you can help identify a British film from the 60s or 70s. I remember seeing it on the BBC on a monday night after the news (The one night a week i could stay up late to watch a film).

Much of the film is set around a viaduct/ railway line. Main charcters were a group of kids, one of which liked experimenting and was messing about with explosive devices. I think he succeeded near the end.

Sorry but I don't have much else on the plot. It's stuck with me and I hope it has with one of you.

The Beeb's Monday film at 9:25 or 10:10 formed a major part of my film education...probably moreso than it's Saturday Film International offerings and late night horror double-bills, and ITV's Friday night horror and (Monday & Friday?) afternoon slots, to name but a few regulars.

I first saw MELODY, under the title S.W.A.L.K, on the BBC, on a Sunday night. Seems a strange choice for a Monday where they generally aired more adult fare.
