Question Answered: Three Dangerous Ladies *solved*

I watched this film some 30 years ago so I apologise if my description is somewhat vague. As far as I can remember it involved an american( i think ) woman in her 50s coming to live in a small english village who turns out to be a vampire. I think the title was the womans name, "Mrs -------" and that the film may have been made for TV and was possibly shown on ITV.

I watched this film while on a caravan holiday when I was about 10 years old in a room above the camp sites bar and remember being absolutely scared to death on the walk back to the caravan. I've done the usual searches with no success and would be most grateful if someone could put me out of my misery.

Mrs Amworth, from the E.F. Benson story. If you search threads it is mentioned elsewhere here. I always liked this story and would love to see this.

Many thanks for that, can't believe you got it so quickly and I can't believe it was Glynis Johns who played the main role of the vampire. Had a look on the internet and found out that they remade it last year but it looks like they set it in America instead. Will have to see if its possible to get hold of the original.

That must be one of the few E.F. Benson stories that I've never read.

I have this which is the first of 3 horror stories from a made for tv film called Three Dangerous Ladies. The other two aren't bad but its Mrs Amsworth which is the standout story and the one most people remember. Send me a pm if interested in a copy.
