Default Unanswered: Help ! - 50's Sci-Fi (I think)

Hi all,

If anyone can recognise this film from my description you will have made my day as this has plagued me off & on for probably 30 years !

All I can recall is that there were a group of scientists in a lab with computers with reels etc & at one end there is a projection screen. At some point they realise they can step into the projection image & all go through the screen to the "other world" - the only other part I recall is when in the "other world" they eventually find their own lab & they are all still in it - only seemingly frozen still. So they are meeting themselves - then they realise that the frozen versions of them are moving, but very very slowly... thats all I remember although I think there may have been robots or cyborgs in there somewhere?

It can't be a great film as I am sure I would have seen it again at some point, but would love to know what it was !

Also happy to accept it may have been a bad dream....

Yours in anticipation

Martin

From memory, without researching, was it "The Time Travellers" made in the '60's?

Thank you both for your speedy replies ! - Stephen - you have nailed it ! - I have googled both films suggested & it is the Time Travellers 1964 ( I knew it was printed in my brain waves somewhere that was the year I was born - eheh)

Fantastic - thank you so much

Now - to find a copy...

Almost certainly The Time Travelers (1964) - a science fiction film that inspired the 1966 TV series The Time Tunnel. It could, however be the remake - which also has the returning to the lab and jumping thought the screen again gag - Journey to the Center of Time (1967).

They are very close - kinda the Rio Bravo / El Dorado of 1960s B-movie SF.

All men leak.
