Here's another movie that I've been trying to put a title to. I'm sure it's a B&W French movie from the 60s which explores 'existential' themes. It's about a guy who, as the film progresses, becomes more and more introverted. At the start of the movie, there is sound, but as the movie continues the sound is lost, signifying that the man has lost touch with external reality. Besides losing the sound, the guy in the movie also gets rid of his possessions, and at the end of the film he is the sole occupant of a barren room and appears to have found enlightenment.(If I remember correctly, the guy had long curly hair.) Any ideas?
