Default Answered: Tomorrow at Ten *solved*

I vaguely remember a black and white film where the stuffed doll that a girl is carrying has some significance, the solution to something that the police and the bad guys are after but the adults don't catch on until the end. It is torn open at that point to reveal something but I don't think it's drugs.

Does anyone have any ideas on this? It was one of those films which used to be on every so often then just stopped.

Well, if you told them I designed it, d'you think that might help?

How about Night of the Hunter with the stolen money hidden in the little girls's doll?
A Great film.
If only Chares Laughton had been given another chance.

I think you are right because you triggered from my dusty memory the pointed moments when the camera shoves a clock in yer face but holds fast on the arrows pointing to it.

Default Film about a child's doll carrying something

'Wait Until Dark' with Audrey Hepburn? The villains in this are looking for a doll, which I think was stuffed with drugs (or diamonds?). Heburn plays a blind girl, whose apparent boyfriend is stalking her for the contraband (whatever it is). The climax is a scene in which he pursues her through her basement flat, in which she has smashed the lightbulbs to give herself the advantage - but he opens the fridge door, to illuminate her... (I think).

Is this the one you mean?

Wait Until Dark was in color and was American not British (British director and star though).
