Was wondering if anyone can name this film. I can't remember much about it as it has been quite some time since I saw it. I'm sure it's a well known film, so forgive me!

I can remember some kind of cruise taking place around New years, and something happened which caused the ship to sink and turn over. The film then follows a group of people trying to escape, with the added difficulty of everything being the other way round since the ship turned over.

I vaguely rememver a man trapped under a piano, and an oldish couple - the wife died as result of holding her breath too long when swimming through a water filled area.

I also remember the kind of leader guy killing himself by falling into the fire raging in the engine room or somewhere.

The Poseidon Adventure - 1972 - Starred Shelly Winters And Gene Hackman. The title song "The Morning After" was sung by Maureen McGovern.

I assume you have 'Soft Rock' radio in the U.K. "The Morning After" is a staple of the genre, played just slightly less often than "Margaritaville" or "Yesterday."
