Default Unanswered: The Iron Maiden (1962) *solved*

Hi

I can remember a film about the journey of a steam roller, but I can't remember what it was called. I have seen it a couple of times and can't remember the plot very well or who was in it.
I remember that they were travelling through the countryside to get to a show or something?

Can anybody help????

Thanks

Do you know who wrote and produced the movie as I am interested in getting a copy.

I am in Sydney Australia and would appreciate your help.

I suppose I ought to check, but I think Gerald Thomas directed "The Iron Maiden".

Channel 9 in Australia used to play it regularly, although not for a while (as it seems the case with any movie pre-1985 on commercial television). You could write to them and see if they will give it a run. They have a window coming up soon on the weekends between the end of the cricket season and the start of the football/rugby seasons.

"The Iron Maiden"(1962)was written by Vivian Cox and Leslie Bricusse and directed by Gerald Thomas. It starred Michael Craig,Alan Hale Jr(Casey Jones!)Cecil Parker and would you believe, the real Duke of Bedford!(I'm not sure but I think he was in it because some of it was fimed on his estate). You can get a copy at: www.blackstar.co.uk - I don't know if they post to Australia or there is there is an Australian equivalent but anayway I hope this helps. :)

"and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock"
