Hello from Spain,
about 30 years or so I've seen in the German TV a classic british film. It was a crime/mystery thriller as far I can remember. I think it was aabout a murder and the only witness was an elderly lady. She saw the murderer walking out of a house, but only saw his shoew because she was kneeling or so.
Later in the film this lady was in a phonebox. A man was chequing outside. When the lady was leaving the phonebox she dropped her money so she had to bend down and saw again the shoes of the murderer.
It has been an old black and white movie, definetely british maybe 40's.
Anybody who knows this movie?????

I'm just guessing, but it sounds like the kind of 'McGuffin' Margaret Rutherford would have had in one of the 'Miss Marple' movies. They were '60s, but could be mistaken for a '40s film.
