Answered: Jack of All Trades (1936) *solved*
Hi all -
I'm looking for the name of a film which I'd estimate as being produced in the 30s or 40s. It was a vaguely romantic comedy wherein a bloke walks off the street into a business and cons his way into a job by confidently and repeatedly making reference to some urgent contract/order/project. Only at a very late stage is his confidence trick exposed.
The names and faces of the male and female lead were significantly promoted at the start of the film which I infer to mean they were a known British romantic 'double act'. As I recall, the male was tallish, with lightish hair and an angular face (though this is going back a few years).
Any help would be appreciated !
