Default Answered: Terraces (1993) *solved*

I have a vauge memory of a film set in the north of England about a street near a football stadium. When the football team did well everyone in the street painted their houses yellow (yellow being the colour of the football team), except for one man. The film was about his son who was bullied because his house wasn't yellow. Can anyone else remember this film? What was it called? Please help me!

"TERRACES"

If indeed it is the one you are thinking of...

I found out a bit more about this play, it was
by Willy Russell and my memory was only triggered by seeing Mark Womack in Merseybeat - I see also Tricia Penrose from Heartbeat appears as..... a barmaid.

Funny, I was just thinking about this recently. It could be a one-off half-hour BBC TV play from BBC North. From the mid to late 1990's (it was shown on BBC2) and starred Paul Broughton (Eddie Banks from Brookside - he was also in Liverpool One) Can't remember the title though, it had the feel of a Schools programme - maybe from that department.
