Answered: Name that British Crime film please *Solved*
I am trying to find out the title of a British crime film of the late 50's, 60's. If memory serves it stared the late great Stanley Baker. The film was a heist movie set in the army during (I think) national service, so it would have been set in the UK rather than abroad. The film ends rather dramatically with a flame-thrower duel.
This one is rather easier. I am also trying to find the title of a British B-crime flick starring Robert Shaw. Shaw played a kidnapper who abducts the child of a wealthy family and imprisons the child in a room with a bomb, (hidden inside a toy) timed to go of within 24 hours (or so). Shaw then approaches the child's parents and asks for the money unless. The police are called and Shaw is beaten up etc, he refuses to give them the location of the child unless he is given money and free passage from the country. The film starts with the image of Shaw sitting at a child's size table and chair eating his lunch. I think that the title contained the word MIDNIGHT.
Thanks
