Default Unanswered: Boat crushed between two ships

Hi as a kid at the satarday morning pics
they would stick on just one episode of a b/w serial that ended as a small cabin cruiser ,with a chap inside was crushed between two full size ships. it was the only episode they had of the serial and they put it on a few times a year.
I cant gaurantee it was a brit film.
any ideas?
but more to the point how did he escape,???It was a haunting image I have been worried by this for the past 30 years!!! :-)

Easy, ships slope inwards towards the waterline. If the two ships crashed together there's probably enough room between them for a football pitch at the waterline. Well, maybe enough room for a game of water-polo :)

Thanks Steve.
I kinda worked that out.My ex girlfreind worked on cruise ships. but in the film the boat was actually cracking ,and the guy was trying to hold the ships apart.
Although If they were pre ww1 freighters they might have had slab sides...or if they were South American swallows and were carrying it with vines strapped to their feet.......

Two REAL ships crushing a REAL cabin cruiser on a saturday morning pictures serial budget. You can make a man out of a boy but you can't get his brain out of short trousers thumbs_u .
