Pleas help me to name the film!

The film is a comedy/drama with a strong social content.
A one-hit band of eighties is trying to reunite after some fifteen years to perform the hit (called Starburst or something) for a TV-show. The problem is they are hardly able to play anymore. One of the band members is living in a mental hospital because of a drug misuse. Former band mates come to fetch him with a van and thus the old farts are about to get together... Detail: Silver record of the hit appears to be a fake one, there is something very different recorded on it.
The overall mood of the film was rather ironical, as it was trying to show how rediculous and superficial the kind of life had been. But on the other hand the warmer attitude wasn't quite missing either. The end was kind of happy though.

I found "Still Crazy" from IMDB, but I'm affraid this isn't quite the film I'm looking for.

Hi, it sounds like a tv play starring Martin Clunes, Neil Morrissey & Jane Horrocks called "Hunting Venus" made in 1999. I hope this may be some help.

That does sound like both Hunting Venus and Still Crazy. Perhaps a conflation of the two, as they were around the same time? I know I get 'em mixed up!

Is it a UK FILM? Because there is an American movie with the same plot called 'The Suburbans'!
