Default Unanswered: The Maze *solved*

Does anyone know the title of a film made probably in early 60s where the subject matter involved a deadly secret in an old house, a maze and a deformed person that had the face of a frog!!!?? I seem to remember someone finding a book in the houses library about tetralogy and this same person looking out of a window at night and seeing this frog person being led into the maze.

Sound's like the Hammer film The Reptile from 1966.

Actually, it sounds to me like it could be The Maze, a 1953 American horror film shot in 3D.

I saw it when I was about 5 years old on late night TV and one reason it sticks in my mind was that, playing the "frog" was an actor named Michael Pate and at the time (early 1970s)he was the star of the hit Australian cop show "Matlock Police". The fact I recognised him immediately, even with his bizarre makeup is something that probably indicated a lifetime love of film lay ahead for me.

It's definitely 'The Maze' (1953). The story is loosely based on the legend of the monster of Glamis Castle.

Yup, it's The Maze (1953) alright. Halliwell called it: 'rather splendidly idiotic horror film which raises plenty of laughs but no frissons'. ...It's a shame modern terristrial tv has no place for such films.

I agree, this is The Maze we're on about here.
But don't forget The Reptile, 1966 Hammer which Halliwell says is a silly horror story most efectively filmed.

"How about dat, a? How about dat?
