I believe Robert Duvall,a keen fan of British soccer, made a film where he was a manager of Scottish football team.
Any ideas of the title?

I recall Ally McCoist talking about it a lot but I've never seen it.

A Shot at Glory (2000).

Thanks,DB7
It is not mentioned in Halliwell's Film Guide,or in Duvall's filmography in Halliwell's Who's Who in the Movies. Must have sunk without trace! no

This movie is available on DVD either on its own or part of a double bill with 'Mean Machine.' In fact it was on the shelves in our local Asda the other day.
I haven't seen it either but apparently Aly McCoist's acting isn't too bad.

Thanks DB7, Marky B and BobJ!

Soccer and Duvall. Sounds like a great combination, as he is such a strong character actor.

I've just seen Robert Duvall in two DVD's:Second Hand Lions with our very own Sir Michael Caine and Open Range, where Kevin Costner played second fiddle to Duvall. Both excellent films.
