Cor - Dead of Night and Night of the Demon are probably my two favourite British horror films.

I remember being absolutely scared hairless by Dead of Night the first time I saw it (probably the 1970's when I was a callow youth) and the terrifying twist at the end is a masterstroke.

We managed to buy Dead of Night on DVD a few months ago, but Night of the Demon hasn't had a Region2 release as far as I know.

There's a book by Tony Earnshaw about the making of Night of the Demon - it's a fascinating read.
