name='batman']That's what I read in a book about Hill/Spencer. Terence Hill had deals with companies all over the world after he based himself in USA and Denver was, apparently, his Australian connection. If that's not correct please let me know.

If he was 'Pommie Joe' in 1979 and 'Aussie Joe' in mid 1980s (when he got duffed up by 'Big Frank') ..... when did the change happen?

    Bats.

Oh, I'll take your word that Denver was Australian. Any idea who was involved in that company?

Joe moved to Australia in the mid-80s and tried to resurrect his career. We just saw him for what he was then - a washed up hack trying for one last shot. He was everywhere for a while (give him credit for trying) but the public was not interested. The whole 'Aussie Joe' thing was pretty cringeworthy.

I seen to recall that around a decade ago he was hoping to mount a title fight against George Foreman on top of Ayers Rock. Nothing came of it, unsurprisingly.

Mind you, he has turned up as a comical heavy to good effect in a couple of recent local films.

I have no idea who was involved with Denver. IMDB list only that one film for them so perhaps it was one of those 'transient' companies put together for just the one film. Joe Bugner was a bit of a joke in the UK too. The fight with Frank Bruno was promoted purely for him to make a few quid and for Bruno to have a high profile fight following his defeat to 'Bonecrusher' Smith. Bugner resurfaced here a few years ago trying to arrange a comeback against anyone who would take him on. He couldn't get a licence so he toddled off again.
