I have a challenging question. My friend watched a 1970's sex farce a

    couple of years ago.

He and I are arguing over the name and who was in it.

The only thing he can remember is that at one point there was

    a soho club scene with a group of around 10 oriental/asian go-go

dancers dancing on the stage all wearing platform boots.

I can virtually garantee that nobody will remember this film as I

can't even find its title and cast members on the internet.

I don't think the lead actors were Robin Asquith or Barry Evans,

may have been but I have checked these films out.

I would imagine only a film brain of britain would be able

to answer this question. Can anybody help please?

It's not NO SEX PLEASE, WE'RE BRITISH, as there are no club scenes in that one. It all revolves round the misposting of pornography to a clerk's flat above a bank and the misadventures which ensue whilst the unfortunate recipients try to dispose of the stuff before the bank manager sees it... It's all set in Windsor, not Soho, too.

I think we should try narrowing this down a bit. There were a number of these issued on UK video back in the early 90s:

    Medusa:

    Come Play with Me

    Emmanuelle in Soho

Eskimo Nell (a most likely candidate)

    Groupie Girl

    Love Box, The

Naughty! A Report on Pornography and Erotica

    Wife Swappers, The

Then there were those issued on the Jezebel label (whom I worked for at the time):

    Au Pair Girls

Can You Keep it Up for a Week?

    Confessions of a Sex Maniac

    Cruel Passion

    Four Dimensions of Greta

    Love Variations

    Monique

    School for Sex

Sex Thief, The (directed by none other than Martin Campbell!)

Tiffany Jones (withdrawn after a few days after its star, Anouska Hempel bought the rights out)

    Virgin Witch

    Yellow Teddy Bears, The

    Zeta One

Then you have the usual run of the mill 'Adventures' and 'Confessions' movies:

    Adventures of a Plumber's Mate

    Adventures of a Private Eye

    Adventures of a Taxi Driver

Best of the Adventures, The (compilation)

    Confessions from a Holiday Camp

    Confessions of a Driving Instructor

    Confessions of a Pop Performer

    Confessions of a Window Cleaner

    And the Mary Millington stuff:

Confessions from the David Galaxy Affair

    I'm Not Feeling Myself Tonight

    Intimate Games

    Mary Millington's True Blue Confessions

    Playbirds, The

    Queen of The Blues

It's quite likely one of the above, and I'd guess it's most likely Martin Campbell's ESKIMO NELL (1975). If it isn't.... do I really want to sit through some of these again to find the scene in question?

I thought of COOL IT CAROL! (1970) but that stars Robin "Squiffy" Asquith so perhaps not.

Only if you suppy the copius amounts of alcohol needed to get through that marathon of sexless comedy!

I've seen most of them so many times they all blur into one long endurance test of a movie.

Thanks for that! It now limits the film options I can think of. Hmmm ... This is becoming rather puzzling?

    POP PERFORMER 1975

    From a HOLIDAY CAMP 1977

    or

Did you see it on video or DVD or TV? Approximately when? Can you remember anything about the packaging?

Leslie Phillips starred in a lot of those Brit sex farce comedies.

Could it be 'The Magnificent Seven Deadly Sins" (1971) which consisted of seven short stories based on the seven deadly sins including "Lust" ?

I remember there were girls in hot pants featured but I'm not sure of the Asian dancers.

I doubt you would - I made it up. Not a good joke,I admit. However, such concept of a film makes the mind boggle a bit
