    Hello,

looking for the identity of a British film from, I believe, the late 60's or early 70's.

    From memory:

Opening sequence shows a chap on a push bike (postman/milkman?) riding around a typical "new" housing estate (delivering?). He's a cheeky sort of chap and may even talk direct at the camera. The British film is in colour. Michael Caine is not the bloke.

Sorry this is so vague. I saw this once on television as a teenager, when I used to stay up late to catch a film with some "action" in it (if you know what I mean)

Hormones were kicking in and many a time I sat through some obscure French film with subtitles till the early hours hoping for a glance.

I hope one of the experts here may be able to put me out of my misery.

    Thanks in advance,

    Bill

HERE WE GO ROUND THE MULBERRY BUSH -

The chap was Barry Evans (later to star in the DOCTOR TV shows) and the estate was Stevenage...

If you search the threads you'll find quite a bit about it here.

Please settle a difference of opinion (and a bet for a fiver). Here We Go Round The Mulberry Bush was filmed in ...... Stevenage or Milton Keynes.

The Bat's cash is on Stevenage.

    Cheers.

You drag up a 3 month old thread to take the piss .... YDS, I thought better of you .

It was a bet while I was at work! I knew the answer and could have looked it up but the other bod wanted a third party involved ... so who better to ask than the forum.

Perhaps I should start looking for skeletons in your closet .

I was the guy who submitted the Luton Hoo bit onto imdb, a friend of mine reckons the skinny dipping scene was filmed there and he was living near there won the day it was filmed, they tried to get in but wasn't allowed, I went on his word, he don't usually lie and when he brought up the subject he had no idea I was a fan of the film, may be worth following up one day :-)
