Christmas movie...please help!

I saw this movie years ago (I think it was a British movie), about two couples that live next door to each other & the 2 men are best friends I think, and they start competing against each other to have the best Xmas light display...the wives are mad at them about it & at least one of the guys is hiding light/display things he's been buying in a closet or storage because he doesn't want his neighbor to know the elaborate plans he has, and he doesn't want to make his wife angry because he bought so many lighted things? I remember it being quite funny with all the silly quibbling between the spouses and the neighbors. The end was where the one man ended up letting the other flip the big switch on his big yard display, thus making up. Any clues anyone?
