Which 1970's childrens drama?

hello everyone

I'm new to this forum but hoping someone can help!

I remember watching a childrens drama series in the late 1970's possibly even very early 80's.



All i can recall about it was there was a teenage girl somewhere on holiday and she got caught up in some sort of sinister happenings there. I even bought the book because I loved it so much, but even that went AWOL over the years.



I do remember her driving along the coast in an open top sports car with this sinister woman and the girl sometimes wore a pink polo neck! I think she was wearing this on the front of the book too.



I hope someone can put me out of my misery!
