A TV play from maybe the 60s or 70s focussed on chorister who's been chosen to sing the solo in the Pie Jesu from Faure's requiem. As I recall Mum's ecstatic and he's terrified at the prospect. The play ends ....

i wonder if anyone remembers this play, and even if someone has a copy?

It struck a tremendous chord with me, as I'm an old lag from a cathedral choir and I sang the Faure, not as a soloist but with the other croakers and squeakers in the stalls.
