I did wonder, but IIRC it has a modern estate setting...

    Are you quite sure?

In ISC, Simon Ward played a bus conductor and it did involve some scenes in a ruined house but it definitely wasn't a mansion - trust me!

In Dominque, the setting was a large house but that wasn't released until 1978.

Both starred the gorgeous Jenny and ISC showed what an excellent actress she was in her first major lead.

I worked with Simon Ward on a Ruth rendell Mystery and he was a really nice guy. In one scene the director thought he looked too clean cut and the scene was that we had been returning from a day's shooting (of innocent animals - not film), so he asked Simon to roll around on the grass and without any hesitation he did that - no complaints, no fuss, just got on with his job.

As i said - a really good guy to talk with as well.

Talk of Simon Ward has jogged my memory. I remember seeing him in a film where he played a peeping tom type character or even a murderer with lots of driving about. Possibly early 70's. Bit scant on detail....sorry.
