It's not The Foreman Went To France by any chance?? That had something similar with the truck/fishing boat...though I don't remember the puncture.
i am trying to find the title of a black and white war film that i saw years ago all i can remember is that they are using an old lorry to get to a harbour and when they get there the last scene of the film is with the actors on a boat looking back at this old lorry that got them there and the lorry's front tyre starts to loose air from a puncture,
i think that they were struggling with a make shift repair that they had to do earlier on in the film
sorry its vague but i hope someone can help![]()

sounds like The Foreman Went To France i,ll give it a look at later and let you know great film by the way.
if it was the foreman went to france it would be Tommy Trinder in it
And A very young Gordon Jackson.name='fulerton']if it was the foreman went to france it would be Tommy Trinder in it
I remember having chats with him about his early career as a youngster in old black and white films. One in particular was a wartime film with Tommy Trinder called 'The Foreman went to France.' He was seen driving an army truck away and added, amusingly, that, at that time, he couldn’t drive, so it was arranged for someone to lie at his feet and work the gears and pedals while Gordon steered, which he always found very amusing.
