A railway accident and an orphan called Lark?

This is one of those old 'start of the Christmas season markers' which used to be on every year.



The film starts with a little girl called Lark whose family have been killed in a railway accident (I think) on the first Firth of Forth bridge and as an orphan is settled with a family who already have children, a boy who seems to get on okay with her and an older girl who does not want this new girl on her patch.



I've looked in the IMDB and on the Net in general for this film but cannot find any results. What's the betting I should have not bothered with that and come here first?

A search for character Lark gives just 18 titles and some of them, like Z Cars are quickly dismissed
