Between Two Worlds *solved*

I remember seeing this film about 20 years ago. I only remember a bit of the plot, so can anyone help and put a name to it please.



Its from the 1940's (early 50's maybe)



Its 1940's - Supernatural film



The scene starts with a man in his apartment, he turns the gas on his cooker on, in an attempt to kill himself.



Meanwhile his fiancée is trying to get to his apartment.



She is rushing through WWW 2 London, there is an air raid siren going off, she passes various people trying to get to shelters (old woman and man in a taxi)

She gets to her fiancées apartment but he has already passed out from the fumes.



She herself is then over come.



They both awaken, confused on a ship.



The people the woman passed on the streets on London while she was trying to get to her fiancée apartment are also on the ship.



It turns out that the people had died in the bombings and the ship was taking them to the next life.



That's all I can remember



if anyone remember the title from that little bit of plot, I would be very greatful
