I have this really vague childhood memory of a very creepy play I saw as a small kid (early 70s?).

The scene is a dinner party at a largish house, the guest arrive and stories emerge and old dsputes raise there heads again. All pretty normal so far - then someone looks out of one of the windows and everything outside has disappeared and all that is left is the darkness - very creepy. Does this ring any bells - or did I dream it?

The play is called "The Exorcism" which was part of the "Dead of Night" series.

I love these sorts of plays and it is certainly one of the best of its kind.

Drop me a PM if you fancy a copy.

I've just watched The Exorcism and it struck me that this set-up around the table and the conversation styel was very familiar until I twigged - the Two John's middle class dinner party pseudo-Socialist sketches with Frances Barber et al on Bremner, Bird and Fortune. It is so obvious they took their influences from this piece.
