American family in bunker

This film was set in America during the 1950s but made in the 1990s, about a family that had a nuclear bunker beneath their garden. A plane crashing on their house made them lock themselves in the bunker where they stayed for approximatly 20 years. By this time the community had changed significantly and the son who goes to explore the surrondings is somewhat of a misfit having never been outside of the bunker and raised by his parents for 20years.
