Your description certainly sounds familiar, particularly the midget woman.
Hi everyone!.........I'm trying to ascertain the title of a Film that was Black & White, British, late 40's possibly, the scene is either the Library or Drawing room of a large English house, in this room there is a wooden cabinet placed on a Table about the size of a domestic Bird-cage, has a pointed roof (I think) the cabinet has a latticed wicker door, inside this cabinet is a tiny adult midget woman, and we viewers can see from her perspective the room from inside the cabinet, a lone Gentleman is in the room, possibly waiting for someone, looking round he becomes intrigued by the cabinet, opens the door and the tiny woman is inside, she then converses with him........any ideas anyone?
Your description certainly sounds familiar, particularly the midget woman.

Yes, the Camera pans around the room as if the eyes of the midget woman.......
The obvious shrunken people film is The Devil Doll though it's not British - I haven't seen it for years so I can't remember if there's a scene like you describe. There's also Attack of the Puppet People and Dr Cyclops in the 'mad scientist shrinks people in order to take revenge on the human race' genre
Thanks for the possibilities Captain........I've been looking at the synopsis for 'Devil Doll' and it may be a likely candidate, I doubt it's the other two, has anyone seen Devil Doll, is there a 'real' midget woman in it?

I've seen Devil Doll, it doesn't sound like it's that film, though.
I don't know if this list of films might help:
films and dwarfism
Thanks for the link Torinfan........it's frustrating when you can only remember one scene in a Film!

You're welcome! I hope your film is in the list. I looked through a few film descriptions on the list but couldn't find one that matches your description.
