Could it be Incendiary (2008)?
E.
Hi Y'all,
The film had a trailer around the same time that Body of lies was being released - 2007/2008?? It opens on the London underground with a 15yr old schoolboy (Asian appearance) and his female friend. He looks up a a large news screen and sees the face of his dad being reported on as a suicide bomber. He runs, and as he does you see the police talking into their communicating systems and the cctv cameras tracking him. The trailer ends with a gunshot, and that is all you see.
Hope you can help me. thanks![]()
The user comments at IMDB suggest that there is a scene at Waterloo station and that there is a shooting.

Thanks Euryale, but this is not the film I had in mind. I searched the net and viewed several trailers on this film.

I'm taking it that this is a British film and there can't have been that many from the last couple of years with this theme. I thought it might be Incendiary (which I haven't seen) because of this description by a viewer at IMDB:
The woman strikes up a friendship with the young son of one of the bombers. Okay, this has potential for bonding and mutual healing. But no, there's a sequence where the two of them are at Waterloo train station. The kid is still unaware that his daddy was one of the bombers – he thinks he's just gone away – and as he's waiting for the woman to buy tickets, he sees newspapers with his dad's face plastered all over them. Needless to say he's a bit upset and begins behaving a little erratically. He then runs away. The police see this and because he's Asian and has a backpack, they take chase. The woman chases as well, and they all end up on an empty train platform. Every party shouts a lot, and as the boy reaches into his jacket, the police prepare to shoot. But as a marksman pulls the trigger, the woman steps into his sights and gets shot in the head by mistake.
So that kind of accords with what you said about a youth being at a station with a female friend, seeing news reports of his father being a bomber, and then a shooting taking place. One of the trailers shows the bomber on CCTV footage, and I suppose a movie trailer can be edited in such a way that it does not necessarily follow the sequence of events in the order that they occur in the full film.
I guess the only way to really tell is to watch the whole movie. BTW, how do you know the youth is 15 years old?

Euryale,
I agree with everything you've posted. And, your probably 100% correct. I am going to watch the film tonight. I have been away all week. Thanks for keeping tracks.

Euryale,
Have watched Shoot on Sight. It's not the film. Sorry. Now moving on to Incendiary.

Thanks for coming back to tell us and admire your commitment to finding the answer by actually watching the films through!
Even if they are not the right ones, I hope you found them interesting viewing.

Euryale,
Yep, it was Incendiary that was the film. Who gets the credit for providing the answer?

Ha! That was my suggestion!
Glad it has been answered, anyhow, and thanks for telling us!
