mothers run away, dad raising sisters, ends up burning clothes

I am looking for a film which was shown on Channel 4 around 28th / 29th March quite late at night.



I only caught some of it but it seemed really good:



A father and two daughters were living in a pretty dillapidated house in the country, the mother had left them. The older daughter kept wearing her mothers clothes. Near the end the father builds a bonfire and burns all the mothers clothes. Pretty bleak film!



Any ideas much appreciated!

The details you've given don't entirely fit, so I doubt I'm right, but due to the sisters & late night channel 4 airing, could it be This Filthy Earth?
