I'm trying recall a British film that was broadcast on in 1976. ITV made a big announcement about about showing some X-Rated films on the channel late at night. A couple of others broadcast in the series were Clint's 'The Beguiled' and 'Play Misty For Me'. The film I'm trying to recall was the first film shown in the run about a group a people surviving a possible nuclear disaster or plague. I just remember hundred's of people walking through the countryside led by some sort of professor.

Could have been the full uncut version of No Blade of Grass - first and last time it was shown on terrestial.

I spent ages trying to find that song. It last appeared on a "Best of" back in 1994 but has since been removed from the numerous "Best of" compilations.

And he has one heck of a lot of material available.

And John Christopher's book is terrific - one of the scariest and nastiest visions of The End you are ever likely to read.
