Please can anyone identify this old film.
Many years ago I saw a film that ended with members of the cast photos (shots from the film) and their names underneath.
I think it was probably a "big budget" American movie with a "cast of thousands".
The film that springs to mind is "Around the World in Eighty Days" 1956. I think that had a huge cast, so that might be the one.............Can anyone help
There may have been more than 1 film that ended like this, but ANY ideas would be gratefully accepted
You'd make this old Sarge very happy
Thanks

Not Around the World in 80 Days, I'm afraid - the cast is given at the end in cartoon graphics.

Thanks Freddy............Do those 4 films all end with cast photos, with names underneath? I've seen first two, years ago, so it could be one of them.name='Freddy']Some ideas Sarge;

Mad World in its entirity is on You Tube but sadly at the end of the film there is only the theme tune and a black screen.

Could it be The Longest Day?
Plymouth Adventure (1952) ended with shots of the actors as they appeared in the film, with their names underneath the footage.
"The Sting" and "The Dirty Dozen" if memeory serves me well, also use the convention of showing visual snippets of the cast at the end
'Born on the 4th of July' ends with grabs from the film then freezes to show actors name
Thanks for ideas & tips so far
Its quite likely that Freddies first two mentioned...........
"Monte Carlo or Bust"
Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines"
seem to be top contenders so far.
I just need someone to confirm or deny that these films end with the afore mentioned photos with names underneath
"The Longest Day" is another possibility, as have also seen it.
Thanks for mentioning "The Yellow Rolls Royce", it seems to have great cast (including Ingrid Bergman) will check it out sometime.
Cheers

This was ALFIE (UK, 1965).........the song over the end credits was sung by Cher, I think (but not Cilla...)

The IMDb, not guaranteed to be perfect but usually more reliable than Wikipedia or similar sources, says:
On its original release, the film had an all instrumental soundtrack, by Sonny Rollins. The Oscar nominated song, by Bacharach and David, was added for the American release, and to a British re-release. For the UK release, the song was sung by Cilla Black over the end credits, which went to #9 on the British charts. For the US release, the song was originally to be sung by Dionne Warwick over the end credits, but was replaced at the last minute by the version sung by Cher. Ironically, Warwick's version outperformed Cher's on the Billboard charts.
