New Zealand TV detective with a boat

[GRAEME]

A handful of 2 hour TV films from, I think, NZ had a big city cop retired to the sticks where he just wants to potter on his boat on this huge lake. Obviously keeps having to solve murders as well. I'm sure there's a daughter he's trying to restablish connection with etc.



It felt like a "A Mind to Kill" type thing. Very good but the name and casting escapes me - probably early to mid-90s.
