I saw this on TV in the late 80's maybe early 90's in Australia..



It was about a person who time travelled from the future to the 80's to observe, but fell in love with a girl in the past.



Caused a new fashion in wide brimmed hats to protect from the sun.



Used a saucer to travel back.



Around about the time of max headroom which was also great.
