Default The Bang Corn Film

Many years ago I saw an English film on TV. Made I think in the early '50's it featured a group of children who found a recipe for a high explosive version of Pop Corn which they called Bang Corn. I seem to remember them trying to sell some at a village fete and the army becoming involved.

Does any one rember the film and can you tell me it's name?

I would love to get a copy on DVD.

Cheers all

I'm guessing this could be 'Child's Play' (1954). It deals with a gang of village children who discover how to split the atom. Two fragments of memory remain: I seem to remember a military type looking through binoculars as a modestly-sized mushroom cloud rises above woods. I also remember something related to Krakatoa; an element called Krakatonium perhaps?
Is it ringing any bells?

I've also searched for the Bang Corn film for years on Google, and never had a single correct hit until now. 'Child's Play' sounds as though it might be the one - any idea where one might be able to purchase a copy? It was a childhood favourite and well remembered by my brothers and me as a delight to watch.
Cheers!
