The second one sounds familiar hmm
I am trying to find the name of a british movie I think from the 80's about a group of hip 20 somethings at an English country house drinking and doing drugs where something goes wrong and one of the guys dies///perhaps in the swimming pool and then the "what do we do" senerio sets in causing riffs between everyone?
Also another earlier English movie set on a remote Med. coast I think where a young man falls in love with the couples teenage daughter but when he becomes amourous she kills him and we then find out she is really a boy who has been raised as a girl?
The second one sounds familiar hmm
The first one vaguely reminds me of Peter's Friends, which struck me as a tatty rip-off of the much better (US) film The Big Chill.

Not even Tony Slattery ? Shame![]()
Could the first one be "Dead Babies" based on the Martin Amis novel. It has a group of people spending time drinking, taking drugs and general debauchery but I'm not sure if anyone dies.
Or could the first one be "Spirit Trap" with Billie Piper. This one's a bit recent (2005) and is more a bit of a horror film. Four students in a big old house. Some drugs, fallings out and people die.
I don't know if this might be the second one:
A Reflection of Fear (1973)
Not British but has British cast members - Robert Shaw and Mary Ure.
