Default Bradford screening

I'm not connected to this project but have followed it closely as I know a couple of the actors in it.I'm also based in the North East and we're having a bumper year for film-making this year so I'm going to try to support this.
Its a totally independent UK film with some very good actors in it ( although I am biased there).I'm not suppose to give away too much about it as the producers want the audience to go to it blank without any preconceptions.
Its screening at Pictureville at Bradford Media Museum on Saturday 29th March ( this Saturday).First screening is at 10am with the possibility of further screenings if the demand warrants. Entry is £5
I'm paying for my ticket and standing in line..hope to see some of you there
I've attached the e-mail I got giving me details.

This is just a short reminder to say to everyone that the screening of the ‘rough cut’ takes place on this Saturday Morning at 10AM.

The doors to the Pictureville open at that time and an orderly queue would be appreciated if you get there early.

The venue is, of course, at the Bradford Media Museum in the centre of Bradford within easy walking distance from the Interchange bus and train station and there is adequate car parking to the rear of the museum or in the town centre car parks.

I suggest if you are in a Pay and Display car park that you cover two hours parking!

After a short introduction once everyone is seated you will see the ‘rough cut’ of the film.

The Pictureville is one of the few decent places left in Bradford other than the Library

apparently not..although its had a lot of press coverage in the NE the last couple of weeks.
I think previews usually have false titles anyway..I remember when I saw "black sun" years ago it turned out to be a Bond film

There are more details of this event in today's Bradford 'Telegraph & Argus'.
The film is a 90 minute psychological thriller about a psychic invesigator made by Macabre Films. The man behind the project is actor Alan Brent. The film has been shot but money is needed for the post-production work. They are hoping to get a number of people to invest £100 each for a share in the film which will entitle them to a percentage of the returns, invite to the premiere and be named in the end credits. But you get to see the film first and make up your own mind if it is a good investment.

oh well if the secret is out...

Its a psychological/occult horror starring a couple of well-known actors from UK TV.
The Canadian funding fell through at the last minute and the company are having this screening to raise a few thousand to deal with post production costs.
I believe this is the first time ever that a film company has gone to the local community to be involved to such an extent.
Alan Brent, who is organising the event, is the head of the actors union Equity in the region and his professionalism is above reproach.
I've seen clips of the film which are cleared for TV promotion and it looks superb, but I haven't seen the film itself or read the script.
They are asking if people want to invest £100 ( or multiples thereof) for shares in the production.£100 buys 1/5th of a share.
Personally I'm putting in as much as I can knowing that another ( and far inferior) UK genre film- the Zombie Diaries- has done incredibly well in the UK and is going to be released in other territories soon.
I'm also investing £100 in the name of a new born baby of someone I care about very much as this a) assures him of immortality via a name in the credits and b)
will give him a dripfeed of income which might be considerable by the time he reaches it to adulthood.
It is of course possible to attend the screening without investing.
If anyone wants to invest then there is no provision for credit or debit cards.

see you there
