Default Frank Randle Remembrance Day

Yes!! By Gum!!! It’s almost time to get our shorts out for our annual trip to Blackpool for the Frank Randle Blue Plaque Memorial Saturday!! It’s been nearly a year since we did Frank proud when, with the assistance of his former leading Lady Jackie Herrick we unveiled our lasting erection to King Twist himself – The Cuthbert Club Blue Plaque!!

On Saturday July 5th Cuthbert Club members from Oswaldtwistle to Fuengirola will be making the trip to Blackpool to meet up on the North Pier at 2 o'clock in the afternoon to celebrate the life and liver of Frank Randle. Travel details are below (for those from Manchester). Upon our arrival in Blackpool at 11.32 we will proceed in taxis to Carleton Cemetery* to pay our respects at Frank's grave before heading toward the North Pier.

There’s no film show this year but Cuthbert (armed with his ukulele!) looks forward to everyone getting together from 2 to 5 pm when he will be on the Pier by the plaque (weather permitting!) or outside/inside the Carousel Bar. This 3-hour event promises to be an unmissable, blissful Frank Randle-esque Hotun of an afternoon!

Come one! Come all! And raise your glass in a toast to the ‘greatest character comedian of his age' – The One! The Only! Mr Frank Randle!!!

TRAVEL DETAILS
We will be on the 10.11 train from Manchester Piccadilly arriving Blackpool 11.32.

Return train is at 18.11 from Blackpool arriving Manchester Piccadilly at 19.36 in time to visit the infamous Mother Mac's hostelry (Back Piccadilly) to quaff our ale in the ambience of the Mancunian Film display on the walls there.
