Meet a Python (or two, or three!)
On Sunday 21st September 2008 at 11am the British Comedy Society, in association with Elstree Screen Heritage, will be unveiling a plaque to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the release of Monty Python's THE MEANING OF LIFE at Elstree Studios in Borehamwood. The plaque will be unveiled by Michael Palin CBE and both Terry Jones and Terry Gilliam are also scheduled to attend the event. Other cast members and celebrities have similarly been invited - as always, all subject to commitments. After the unveiling there will be a screening of rare Python footage, a Q&A session with the stars and an auction. Tickets for the event, including lunch and wine, are £68 (BCS members £60) with all profits going towards the Spike Milligan statue fund, of which some of the Pythons are patrons. Tickets are strictly limited and you should contact: John Gatenby, BCS, 37 Langbourne Avenue, London. N6 6PS e-mail: britishcomedysociety@yahoo.co.uk Smudge |
