CARRY ON UP THE PROM! - 17th September 2006

Join fellow Carry On fans in the seaside city of Brighton for a day of fun and frolics, featuring guest stars, a film location tour and perhaps a winkle or two on the pier.

A morning location tour along the seafront will be followed by an opportunity to purchase lunch and enjoy the funfair on Brighton Palace Pier, though best not to overdo the shellfish if you're intent on enjoying the fair! In the afternoon we will cross to the New Madeira Hotel directly opposite for a question and answer session with our special guests followed by a signing session. Photographs of the guests will be made available on the day. Guests confirmed so far include Sally Geeson (Girls, Abroad), and Hugh Futcher (Behind, Girls, Abroad, At Your Convenience, Again Doctor, Don't Lose Your Head, Spying). More details of the event and further news will be posted nearer the time. Now repeat after me, "Oh I do like to be beside the sea side!"

Advanced tickets are £25 and can be purchased by sending a cheque to:

    RH Bentley

    25 Sparrow Close

    Hampton

    Middlesex TW12 3UZ

    Tel: 07976 964029

At long last, we dare to venture further up the prom! Grab hold of your winkles and join fellow Carry On fans for a fun packed day out by the seaside on Sunday 7th September.

The full details are still to be finalised but the plan is to meet up at 11 am at the New Madeira Hotel on Brighton's seafront for a tipsy pub quiz hosted by the irascible landlord of the Whippit Inn. Then in the afternoon, when the debris has been cleared away and the hotel staff placated we will meet up with some stars of the films. As simple as that! Fun, frolics and full-on film chatter absolutely guaranteed.

Confirmed guests so far are everyone's favourite Womble Bernard Cribbins (Jack, Spying and Columbus), the legend that is Kenneth Cope (Matron and At Your Convenience), the glamorous Laraine Humphrys (Christmas, Girls and Dick) and minding his language as ever, Albert Moses (Emmannuelle).

Also putting in appearance will be Carry On author, and acclaimed wit and raconteur, Robert Ross.

    See you there!
