Just to mention that there is a free screening for us seniors of "They Drive By Night" at the NFT tomorrow, followed by a discussion.Although i have this on DVD i will be going. If anyone else is well maybe i will see you there.
They Drive by Night
Thu 15 Jan - 14:00 NFT3 "They Drive by Night"
Compelling London-set thriller
A stylish thriller of mistaken identity set in working-class London. Warner Bros had recently refurbished Teddington Studios and the picture displays its US influence in both content and style, particularly the fluid cinematography and atmospheric score.
BFI Curator John Oliver will introduce the film and lead a post-screening discussion.

Wish I was, still I did get the recently re-published 1938 James Curtis novel (London Books) of the same name. By all accounts it's a great read.

Have fun, Orpheum. That's one film I'd love to see on the big screen and given the discussion afterward....definitely not to be missed.
All the best,

NFT3 is their "bijou" screen. It seats just 134 people
NFT1 is their main screen which seats 450
NFT2 is their intermediate screen which seats 162 people
Steve
Cheers Steve, So a full house at any of these wouldn't be too shabby !

Sorry to hear the seats were sold out, that plus making the trip into the NFT. Looking at Steve's stats, only 134 seats when doubtless many more could have been filled. Let's hope they screen it again along with Dead of Night which I -really- want to see on the big screen.
I wanted to watch a film at the Mediatheque but walked in too close to closing hours so I'll catch it another time.
All the best,
