Just a quick Heads Up that my good actor friend John Carson will be a special guest at the Manchester Festival of Fantastic Films on the weekend of 16th to 18th October, 2009.

I had the great fortune to meet with John Carson many years ago (1979) when I was at university in Cambridge. I was then great friends with his daughter Katie and we were part of a friendship group which has fallen apart as the years have gone by.

I am wondering if anyone can help. I am researching my old friendship group - with varying degrees of success - and wonder if anyone knows of her current surname or contact details. I believe that she lives in Sweden. A country that she is very fond of!

He's doing a few signings at the moment. His Doctor Who story has just been released on DVD.

I guess most people will have seen the BBC digital switchover trailer which the Beeb have been showing daily seemingly since forever. Well I may be mistaken but the elderly gent smiling at the little metal creature whatever it is at the beginning of the ad looks remarkably like John Carson.
He's only on screen for a second right at the beginning but it sure looks like him, or is the old Tigon Man suffering from dodgt eyesight..

Well he was definitely in the recent National Lottery advert where he picks up the post in the hallway and all the notes start pouring out.

Hi Elaine I've just seen the trailer again and I'm 99.9% certain that it is John Carson.
