    It's interesting, and gratifying, that Roeg is getting awards and praise these days. I suppose it's because his fans are now part of the movie establishment and want to make up for the years when he was dismissed as "pretentious" or "self-indulgent" and his films were censored, shelved or given pitifully small releases.
    It'd be nice if they could spell his name consistently though.

    Some of his work is definitely both "pretentious" and "self-indulgent". Walkabout is a fine film though.
