Default Michael Winner book promotion

The talk will be on food/dinners, rather than movies......

'Our final event this year, and a great way to usher in the Christmas season, will be a visit on Wednesday 5 December from the irrepressible Michael Winner, who will be sharing his thoughts on food and restaurants (and shamelessly plugging his new book Fat Pig Diet). Michael would have got on splendidly with Montaigne, who appreciated the culinary art of those chefs 'who know how to season wafting odours with the savour of various foods. The King of Tunis's meats were stuffed with swee t smelling ingredients so luxuriously that a peacock and two pheasants cost a hundred ducats to prepare in their manner'. Now that sounds like the archetypal Winner dinner.'

To book tickets, talk to one of us – Andrew, John, David, Laura, Sharmaine or Charlie – on 020 7269 9030, or email books@lrbshop.co.uk.

Event held at:
LRB Bookshop
14 Bury Place,
London WC1A 2JL
