According to the IMDb, they only made about 13 or 14 films - surely they made more than that!

I must have seen most of them at some time, but can remember none of them by their titles. Pass the memory pills!!!

Putting out 4 Butchers films in a 2dvd set would be interesting; and follow it up with 4 Danziger Bros films in a similarly themed package.

I just said I would rather see some Edgar Wallace films released on DVD, my holy grail!

A boxed set of the following would be a start:-

Clue of the New Pin
Partners in Crime
Time to Remember
Solo for Sparrow
Five to One
The Verdict
Act of Murder
Face of a Stranger
The Share Out

as for Danziger's the following would be great:-
Great Van Robbery
High Jump
Three Crooked Men

cheers, MoEW (awaiting those pigs to launch themselves skywards.

I've tried to make contact with CANAL + re: the possibility of an Edgar Wallace release - they never even replied...

What a shame that they all just sit in a film vault.

It does seem madness that there are so many films, and for that matter tv progs., that never see the light of day.

Yes....Patrick Holt.

He had presence. I know most of his leads seemed to be in Bs, but then, towards the end of his career he seemed to (physically) diminish and ended up in cough-and-a-spit support roles....

A DVD release of any of these titles would be dependent on a UK DVD company seeing a market and licensing these titles. At the moment they are being sold as part of a TV package - I seriously doubt there would be enough interest in anybody issuing a DVD box set.

I hate to say it; but I have to agree with you.

Butcher's are such minority interest films, I just can't see it happening.
