Question British film studios
Does anyone know who holds the rights to films made by Butcher's Film Service, Mancunian, and Blakeley's Productions? I know that Granada International and Canal + Image UK have purchased the cataloques of many old British film studios, but, apparently, not these. I would also be grateful to learn who, if anyone, holds the rights to Folly Films, the cottage-industry company of Fred and Joe Evans, 1910-1922. I am a fan of the films of the Evanses, and also Will Hay, Arthur Lucan, Frank Randle, Jessie Matthews, Cicely Courtneidge, Elsie and Doris Waters, Jack Warner, Stanley Holloway, Max Miller, Norman Evans, Tommy Trinder, Gracie Fields, Arthur Askey, George Formby, and Charles Chaplin.
