Default Hw do I Find Film Crew?

Hi,
I have just joined the forum and am interested in finding all of the films my father, Joseph Yeates, worked on.

He worked at several studios from the 1940's to early 1950's.

Can anyone help by pointing me towards any records that may still exist?

Thanks.

You could contact whichever union he was in, they may have records. What job did he do?

I forgot to say that Joseph was a sound recordist.
I have tried one of the unions which is now an amalgamation of loads of other unions and they don't have any archive material.

You might find it worthwhile contacting the BFI Library in Central London....they do have materials on Film trade Unions, handbooks, and so on...whether they have the union's archive is another matter, but it's worth a phone call or a day trip... as you're not too far from town.

I guess you know about Dreaming (1944) starring Flanagan and Allen and Hazel Court and the Ealing films Another Shore (1948) and Train of Events (1949).

Was his full name Joseph Cyril Yeates?

The union may not hold their own archives - this site might tell you if someone else does.
