Interesting piece, but it seems to tag Hamer as a 'one movie' director, with Kind Hearts overshadowing his other work. It Always Rains On Sunday, for example, is in my opinion every bit as good as Kind Hearts, if being totally different in style.
If you add his contributions to Dead Of Night, Father Brown and even School For Scoundrels (which in its own way is a bit of a masterpiece), then you have a truly great career. :)
