I saw some clips on the News yestersday, the footage looks stunning....
Looking forward to this too - and it sounds like the BFI have done an amazing job in rescuing hundred year old film.
Also, see BBC4 tonight at 8.30 pm, not sure what it'll be like, but a new series called Nation on Film, showing Britain's history as captured on film (documentary, presumably) over the last 100 years. First programme shows the fitness craze across Europe in the 1930s and 1940s.

Thought I'd resurrect this one. We've all gone Edwardian kerrazy now, in 2007. Even got a 'reality show' (Edwardian diet!!). That M&K footage is certainly recouping it's investment.....![]()
Anyone catch the one about the Edwardian Intellectual's fear of The Masses?? I don't know if it all stands scrutiny but it was very very good. I particularly liked the idea that "Abstract Art" was created in order that the Intellectuals could have something of their own, that The Masses couldn't understand....![]()
